Adrian graduated from DePaul University’s Strobel Honors Accounting Program with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has worked as a Senior Accountant at Orbus Exhibit & Display Group and as a Financial Analyst at CBRE. Adrian is a CPA licensed in the state of Illinois and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.Adrian is involved in volunteer work and social issues, and he enjoys the culture that the city of Chicago has to offer. The old saying “do what you love and never work a day in your life” holds very true for me. Every aspect of what I do on a daily basis for The BrickKicker is amazing, and I can relate it all back to my upbringing. At an early age, I remember moving often from state to state as my parents got settled, but most of my time was spent living in the Madison, Wisconsin area. Both of my parents served in the U.S. Air Force, so I had a pretty structured upbringing, but I was always allowed to explore and try new things. Building with Legos sparked my interest in building things — often without instructions.Throughout my schooling, I wrestled for nearly 18 years, which helped prepare me for my time in the U.S. Air Force as a Weapons Specialist. While serving 6 years in the military, I attended undergraduate studies in Hotel Management in Madison, finishing in Orlando through the University of Central Florida and the Walt Disney Company. From there, I had the opportunity to learn more about corporate structure and management while working for Target Corp. and Marriott International.I had a deep desire to get back to my childhood passion for building things, so I started a graduate program at the University of Florida School of Architecture, which led me to explore ways to work on my own and help people better understand the built world. That's where I decided to become licensed in the inspection industry. I'm extremely passionate about everything I do, including spending quality time with my family and friends, traveling, and building out the next part of my business.

Cathy is the Senior Bookkeeper and Client Advisory Services (CAS) Specialist for The Hechtman Group. She joined the team in 2015. Prior to that, Cathy worked for six years at John U. Smyth CPA while simultaneously working as a paraprofessional for a blended pre-school program for children with disabilities. As part of the administrative team and internal bookkeeper, Cathy has multiple responsibilities including the management of accounts payables and receivables for the firm. She enjoys the variety in daily activities and the opportunity it creates to connect with clients and her colleagues whom she regards as family. Outside of work, Cathy relishes time with family and her English bulldog Lily. She loves traveling to new places and enjoying her downtime.
