As a licensed Series 22 and 63 Registered Representative with Cabin Securities, Becky Eriksson-Ylagan specializes in helping clients navigate 1031 exchanges through Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investments as a potential solution for deferring capital gains taxes. She also assists clients with a variety of alternative investments, including REITs, Opportunity Zone funds, and other tax-advantaged private placement offerings.

At any given time, there are 40–50 DST offerings available in the marketplace. Becky and her team thoroughly evaluate each opportunity based on the sponsor's experience and track record, the quality of the underlying real estate, and the overall risk and return profile. They work with more than 30 DST sponsors across a broad range of asset classes, including multifamily, student housing, necessity-based retail, self-storage, industrial properties etc. Their objective is to help clients identify investments that align with their individual goals rather than promote any particular sponsor or offering. Drawing on more than 30 years of combined real estate experience and over $400 million placed on behalf of clients, Becky leverages an in-house due diligence process, strong industry relationships, and preferred access to offerings to help clients navigate even the most complex exchange scenarios. She also regularly hosts educational seminars and events focused on DST investments and 1031 exchange strategies.

Becky is a member of the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA), the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA), and ProVisors. She is a strong advocate for the preservation of Section 1031 exchanges and has participated in legislative outreach efforts in Washington, D.C., meeting with members of both the House and Senate to educate policymakers on the importance of 1031 exchanges to investors, property owners, and local economies.

Becky began her career at Marcus & Millichap, where she specialized in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily and net lease properties throughout Southern California. During her five-year tenure, she participated in more than $50 million in real estate transactions. Her commitment to helping clients structure investments that align with their long-term objectives earned her the Marcus & Millichap 2018 Pace Setter Award. She was also featured in the Marcus & Millichap Women of SoCal Spotlight for her accomplishments early in her career.

Becky earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Quality Assurance Management from California State University, Northridge.
